I don't post. I never post, ever. I lurk in the shadows and it will be another 2 years before I post again. Many of you are going to run into libcurl3 issues on Ubuntu 18 running XC and there are various hackjobs and ppa's i've seen but this is the simple fix that leaves libcurl3/dependencies unaffected and allows you to curl until you can't possibly curl anymore.

Tested on 22F Mods 18 Ubuntu 18.04.05

apt-get install build-essential

cd /usr/local/src

wget http://curl.haxx.se/download/curl-7.48.0.tar.gz

tar -xvzf curl-7.48.0.tar.gz

rm *.gz

cd curl-7.48.0

./configure

sudo make

sudo make install
