Advice Celtic tv

getting the stream is easy sure , but its encrypted and needs keys to decryption
as posted above it can be done with bento4 and ffmpeg that is not in question .... the method has been around for a while

its obtaining the keys that is the issue for most

also for sure most people are getting non drm hls streams just now ,, so not really an issue at the moment
its when they go back to drm only then it becomes a problem for most .. you only have to look back to last year when most people didnt have celtictv as a service because they dont know the drm system

my whole point in this thread is not about how to encode the the stream and re-stream , thats of no interest to me and anyone can do that
its understanding the drm and how it works

cheerrs
I have always done Celtic TV and was probably first to start doing it back in the old WMP days then p2p4u.net days then stream pro TV 15 years or so ago. Granted has got difficult of late but there will always be a way.

again its easy to grab streams , thats not in question ,, you can encode with obs or hardware encoders

you can grab the upylnk m3u8 and restream that .... all easy to do

if you have broken the drm .. ie managed to decrypt the keys then you will know what i am talking about .... if not you will be back to encoding soon enough when they go back to full drm

Decoding the DRM is easy enough.

You need a proxy and a DRM decryption service / end point available to you to send the key to and get back the decryption key.

Then using mp4decrypt with the key and your good to go.

I understand exactly what you mean mate and hopefully drm will be back soon as to many kids saturating the market now with unreliable, substandard shit.
