Hello all,

I have a Dell server at home running Proxmox. I'd like to create a VM with Ubuntu and possibly use Docker to containerize a streaming server.

To start, I'm looking into a DRM-based approach. My plan is to subscribe to a simple IPTV service, ideally with USA-focused content.

On the user facing side, I can develop both the front-end and back-end of the web app. I’d like to communicate with o11 v4 through an API, if that’s even possible.

If I understand correctly, I would use o11 v4 to obtain or decrypt the stream, and then something like Flussonic Media Server to re-stream it. Am I missing any other major components or steps in this workflow?

You need a server for your 011 streams. a server for your main panel and a server for load balancer.

You need accounts for all services you want to have. ESPN+. Hulu, Paramount+ etc

There are services that sell hacked accounts but they can be taken down which is why sometimes providers stream drops.

The scripts for these are readily available if you are willing speing $100+script

You need 011 , at least v3.

You will be spending a lot of money up front. If this is new to you. Start with restreaming, then start adding scripts later. I've been down this road, it's a a ton of work for 1 person.

After a bit of research since my original post, I've decided to get a separate server to handle transcoding and load balancing. My plan is to offload video delivery via a CDN to keep resources at a minimum. I also have a storage server that I can use for VOD.

I already have ESPN+, Disney+, Hulu, Netflix, Prime and etc that me and my wife pay for. I can get Paramount and whatever else is necessary.

I completely understand when you say this is a lot of work for one person. However, I think I've made pretty good progress so far. The landing page, auth, and direct crypto payments have been completed. The user dashboard is about 50% complete and the admin dashboard I have yet to start. The goal is to have this webapp act as the user/billing/service management- meaning it will essentially handle everything (bypassing tools like xui-one).

I should be getting started with piecing the new sever together pretty soon as I'd like to take advantage of any black friday deals. In the meantime, I will continue to work on the webapp and research some more.

Wondering how this worked out for you.

I think it's probably better just to pick a panel that's already tried and true, and go from there.
No point in reinventing the wheel. Your resources would be better spent on something else (like maintaining the feeds).

Pair it with something like whmcs for billing and payments, and you should be good to go.

I went a step further integrating n8n for automations to reduce the workload I had, but depending how many users you may not need that. I used it to interact with my billing system and the iptv panel.

Just wanted to pop in with a quick update.

I've been extremely busy and haven’t worked on this project in several weeks. My wife and I just had our second baby, so most of my free time has gone into catching up on sleep, hehe. On top of that, one of my old clients reached out with a bunch of updates they needed for a web app I built years ago. Totally unexpected, but honestly a perfect way to fund the new infrastructure :)

Here are a few screenshots of the progress for anyone curious- content and prices are simply placeholders, they are not real ;)

I picked up a template pack to speed up development. I set up a server with SHKeeper to accept crypto payments so I can avoid transaction fees. I also had to setup GitLab so that I can have a private repo with proper CI/CD and version control. Still a long way to go, but I started experimenting with Cursor and n8n and quickly realized how much these tools can help speed things up even more.

...and many more goodies- yeah, way over-engineered, i know, fuck it...
