Hi, Does this fix the timeshift problem with mag/stalker? how to determine which version of 1.5.13 I have installed? Mine says just 1.5.13. regards

It is not necessary, you will see the changes when you replace the files.

Why should it work with redis cache disabled? I would not expect it to be related. What difference should it make? Don’t take my question in a bad sense, I am just trying to understand. I replaced the files however it did not fix my problem. Thanks

Hi. The bug I have is only in Mag/tvip/stb-emu/smart-stb and so on. The problem is reproduceable always and I have also tried panels from other providers and all have the same problem. versions I have tested are 1.5.5, 1.5.12, 1.5.13.
To reproduce the problem one needs to be set up with some channels running time shift and an epg source.
From mag device select a stream that has timeshift available , with channel running try to rewind using the left arrow button or the << (rewind) button on the remote control and the problem will be as follows:
1) the device will seem to scroll back but the archive program time will be completely wrong (eg. time indicator on screen showing 8am program but actual content was aired at 5pm)
2) Cannot fast forward when watching archive, if one tries to fastforward from a timeshift position the device will go directly to live program (to the end of the archive)
3) it could take > 30 seconds for timeshift content to show picture on screen after its been selected and often just quits timshift and goes back to live or hangs.
4) if all servers are not set to utc 0.00 from the operating system. and the panel also set to utc 0.00 (from general settings > general > Server Timezone, the error 'file missing' will be shown on screen when attempting to scroll threw the archive.
If on the other hand the user attempts to use timeshift from the tv guide page it works fine.
This problem with xui one only happens with the above devices, Other panels like xtream ui, nxt, oden and so on work perfectly with these devices.
I have this type of device and I would be happy to help solve the issue

If you have checked the previous post you would have seen the maker of this file saying that this doesn't work for main server, and if you want it to work there you need to contact him and ask for a fix specifically for the main server

this isn't a script, it's just two files that needed to be changed on LB, nothing more. I can confirm it works but you need to turn off REDIS if you have enabled it
