I don't use the movies folder, I physically have all the vods inside the server (it's a private server) and then I link directly to the "direct" file.
I didn't understand the permissions thing, could you explain it to me better?
because if I open them, it tells me unsupported video format.

there is a very simple way to solve the problem, this however if you are sure that you have no active transcoding profile and therefore you only have direct source set, and it would be to use the mass edit vod that I modified days ago where now you can select up to 10000 vods at a time, and the procedure to do is very simple if you want I'll explain it to you.

in practice you do: mass edit movies, set (all categories, direct, 10000), then select all the vods with the selection button, if they are different pages go to the next and select the vods, then go to the details section where you check direct source and enable it, finally in servers enable re-encode on edit and then press edit movies. N.B: to avoid that there are vods with active transcoding profiles, you also check the transcoding profiles box and set it to transcoding disabled, so you don't risk blowing the server !!
