Question XUI ONE, have doubts proxy server concept ?

I am new to Xui One . I have installed and tried xui one and it works nicely. . but I want to implement the Load balancers. and have doubts proxy server concept .
I understand that a load balancer is used to share the "Load" of the main server. but what exactly a Proxy server do and its purpose ?

Thanks . I been trying to implement a proxy , it just doesn’t work .
In XUI I tried using the install but no luck . Load balancer install and shows online but in add Streams it shows Offline .
Where am I wrong ?

I am just citing different issues encountered in setting up XUI features . When many things are involved so my thread looks mixed up .
