Make sure your LB server is Ubuntu 14.04. You also must have root access and the root account must be open to connect by SSH.

If you have all that done, then you can try to add the IP of your main server to your hosts file as xtream-codes.com
After I did that, I was able to add my LB servers. If this helps you out, help me get 100+ likes! ROFLMAO

I did not say go to the XC website. You need to add your main server IP as xtream-codes.com to your hosts file on your LB server. Then you can try to add the LB server.

1. login to your loadbalancer server via ftp...
2. navigate to your /etc/ folder and you'll find "hosts" file
3. download/edit the file and make sure you add line

xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx xtream-codes.com
(where xxx is the ipaddress of your MAIN SERVER)
4. save file or upload it to the server replacing original file.
5. go back to your main panel, remove the servers and readd them again

1) sudo passwd root
2) enter in your su password
3) enter in unix password for root user
4) enter in unix password for root user again
5) su -
6) sudo nano /etc/ssh/sshd_config
Now scroll down and look for "PermitRootLogin" and change "prohibit-password" to "yes"
7) press Ctrl+X
8) press enter to save changes
9) sudo service ssh restart

How to edit your hosts file
1) sudo nano /etc/hosts
2) under the ip "127.0.0.1" add your main server IP space and then xtream-codes.com
7) press Ctrl+X
8) press enter to save changes

If you add to the host file like I said it does not matter about xtream-codes.com because what that does it make your server think that when it sees xtream-codes.com website that it directs to your main server IP. Can you please show a screen shot of your host file so I can see you made the change. I am not sure if you understand what I am saying. I could do it for you but you would have to send me your login info and you do not know me, so I am trying to explain. I added 2 LB servers yesterday doing what I said.

Did you try change your host file? They above method may work as well, I never thought to try that.

Which version did you use , there are loads on here

Which version of what? If you are asking about XC, some people are calling it v1.6 but XC codes calls it v1.0.60. If you are asking about Ubuntu I used Ubuntu 14.04.06 LTS.
