Well, I am trying to redesign this app for my customers and during the process I will be posting them up to reaching the final version. If you guys would like to know anything about it or would like to get the icons, feel free to ask.
First try: I wanted to create something similar to an iOS keyboard... well the results didnt like me at all, so I kept switching colors.
Second try: just switching the background from white to black. Poor results too.

Fourth try: modifying the big4 gradients to something close to the background. The one I like the most.
Fifth try: removing gradients from big4.
Opinions, ideas, suggestions?
