HTTPS can be manually fixed and get it working.

Hi. I am trying this install this on Ubuntu 20 and it has a problem with mariadb repo from digital ocean used in the script. Has anybody managed on u20. May be the script can be updated to work. I tried to install mariadb manually but it still does not work. Any help appreciated.

Just go at mirror sites of mariadb and find a repo that is near your server location, wget the zip file of 1.5.13, unzip it and edit the repo in installer file, save it and run it. Worked for me yesterday with nxthost mirror in romania. Remember in ubuntu 20 you need to install mariadb 10.6 till 10.6.24

Hi. Do you have a specific repo address? Did it need some key and Is it Ubuntu 20 you are installing on? Maybe redhat that way could kindly update the script to a working repo. Thanks

Hi, did you include access code in url when accessing your newly installed panel? I mean the one that shows at the end of xui one installation!
Format as follows: http://yourpanelip/yournewaccesscode
If your shell is still open it’s there, if not you will have to create a temp access code and possibly a recovery user to access the panel

Yes, and I retrieved it from home/xui... we can find it there too. now is ok after re install , After installing the backup, I need to boot into rescue mode, but it's not working. I'm stuck because it won't accept a new password or anything else on the control panel.

Which Ubuntu version are you using? During install, did you get errors while it was installing mariadb? If you did get errors it means mariadb was not installed, you will have to manually install it then reinstall xui one. Alternatively I think you can edit the line url involving mariadb in the script to a working repo resource and reinstall.

I think it works best on Ubuntu 20. I never got it to work properly on anything else

I think you have no db, Check mariadb. In shell type mysql -V and tell us what you get

I don’t know bro. Did you run the patch, ext? Maybe try installing on Ubuntu 20 or some more work needs to be done on 22. Others managed on later versions of ubuntu

Lol, you are trying to do "migration" and not a "backup restore"

He needs to generate new blank database
/home/xui/tools database
Log into his xui one instance and create an admin user
Then copy his old database to /home/xui/backups
After he can restore his database from the backup menu on the ui.
