Hi guys,

I'm browsing and learning all the time. I'm wanting someone to help me along the way. I am wanting to rebrand and create my own unique app including images etc etc.
I've got APKStudio up and running and looking around the decompiled file. I'm now wanting some advice on the best way to go about rebranding a safe app first for smarters then XC app.

I hear alot about call to home issues, whats the best way to avoid this happening for when I make this application go live?

v1.5.1 is probably the best one to try and edit. Think its the one that does not call home

Can you give me more info on the phrase "calling home" mate?

are you looking for a hardcoded or panel version of smarters? i think there's a 2.2.2 that some devs have decompiled and removed the call home feature, i recently bought one.

Hardcoded I belive I'm fairly new mate whats the diffrence?

hardcoded means the dns to your server is embedded into the app and unless your dns changes the app basically runs as stand alone.

panel means you can change dns or have a few different dns depending on panel and app its linked with, great if your supplier changes dns regularly but downside is if server goes down, app won't work

I got you, So if DNS got changed, and it was hardocded I would have to recode and then re upload the app, with the panel I woulnd't need too correct?
I think ideally a panel would be superb.

exactly mate, ideally you'd give customers 2 apps primarily the panel app with a backup hardcoded just in case

i personally found a rebrander who has a no call home version of smarters and bought it and customised it myself

yeah mate i'm editing them myself, custom background etc
