Hi Everyone,
I'm a little bit lost and I need a little explanation. Let's imagine that I have 5 servers and 1tb bandwidth for each (1 main and 4 LB). And I also have 200 HD live stream in each LB.
Now we have a sport event on FOX SPROT 1 and we expect to all active lines around 1000 to be connected to FOX SPROT 1 that is already on LB1 on server tree.
Now as I know that with LB system will balance the output on all 4 LB servers, right?
Can maybe someone illustrate, or make a screenshot of the panel about how to add an important stream to server tree?
Thanks in advance

Only if fox sport 1 is loaded to all load balancers.
If not then all your clients will connect to the single load balancer probably causing an overload of bandwidth.

To further explain this;
Thenload balancers can host a variety of separate services.
If the service is replicated/hosted on more than 1 then depending on your setup the load can be distributed across them evenly or by geographical location.

Thank you for your reply.
So the best practice is to load the important streams to all load balancers, right?

It's bad practice to host anything on your main server.

Load everything equally to all your load balancers and for those channels/services that are high demand you can replicate them on multiple load balancers to ease the server load and bandwidth.

Alright. Thank you for the explanation

What kind of problem may cause if host anything also on the main server?
Long time I use perhaps more than 4 years and never understand what can be a disadvantage because can live free or add something and both seems works ok. Maybe for the big systems yes should be better to don't put anything.

Yes exactly.
For the big system you need to leave the main empty

Didnt say you cant use the main server for services however if the main panel.ip gets blocked or something goes wrong then if everything is on load balancers then you can simply load the main panel back to another server and re-link the load balancers quickly reducing down time.

This advice is not only for iptv but for any type of high use services take dropbox/nextcloud with large user base for example.

Last thing you want is one.of your services on the main panel taking all your bandwidth or cpu and causing your clients not being able to connect.
