Has anyone heard of any way to install some kind of push notification or alert email to notify when channels are offline in xtream ui, This would be extremely handy and mean as little downtime as possible.

Cheers

Fastest way to know, pay attention to your clients and verify every channel down claim. Make your resellers verify theirs first before they report to you.

I agree with @urgodfather

Currently his statement is safest and most efficient way. However the more I think about it, @magicstars this is a good suggestion or feature. I think for now the only way to achieve what your looking for without attempting to modify an existing panel would be to attempt to utilize some existing Social Service like Discord or Slack with an area that is ONLY for reporting down channels. Then creating a bot, or use one of there apps that enables Push Notifications for that specific room. However be prepared if someone wants to be a dick they could really start blowing up your phone.

Could be pretty easy to set something like that up, however then you have the challenge of getting the user base to actually get into/USE the reporting room.

A good idea but a decent supplier will monitor his product and be on the ball in the event a channel(s) goes down

From a devops perspective, many use push notifications on all kinds of things. The problem is that there are sooooo many notifications, the email essentially becomes a dumpster for logs. The only time it gets looked at is if there’s a problem and you are looking for clues as to when the problem started, what happened before that, what changed, etc. This is why I didn’t bother suggesting how to configure.
Sometimes the best solution is the easiest, even if it is not what one had in mind.

Thanks for the input guys much appreiated
