Hello, is it possible to upgrade an old android tv from android 4.2 to 6 ?

I would imagine the only way would be to use the official Philips upgrade channel. If they have an updated version of android, then it would be on there...

From a quick Google, couldn't see any custom firmware for Philips tvs. These would require something like a clockwork mod upgrade first anyway, which probably hasn't been developed either...

Why do you need to upgrade android version?

Like @cumu2003 said, YOU would need to go through the manufacture. BTW, IF you did try to change the firmware, you would break the widevine licensing in the tv. I can understand why you would want a newer OS, but you might be better off not bundling TV and Android in same device. Instead, get a separate Android device.
