Would this be good enough to run as main server 64 GB RAM + 7TB HDD with Unlimited Bandwidth

for a main server , you dont need that much storage , 500gb is plenty , leave the storage for your LB

For main server use SSD NVMe disk 512GB minimum, 32-64GB RAM DDR4 minimum at least 1GB Network you will not put anything on it except panel and database.

what is the difference if you run 100 streams on the main vs load balancer. What are you going to see a difference in running 100 live channels. What will give you fast zap time

just a quick question to your diagram above @peezy , how many online users with a 1GBps connection can accommodate do you think?
only asking as im convinced i got abit of overkill on my vod servers as i got 10gbps for VOD
also wanted to ask about the live too , how many users do you think can use each server at any one time without buffering etc , assuming they were 1gbps up/down?

That would all depend on the quality of the streams... Sd channels at, say 1mbps, you'd be able to have around 1000 clients connect... Fhd at 15mbps, you'd be able to have around 65 clients connected. If fhd was at 5mbps, you'd be able to have around 200 connected...

So, with a mixture of all, I'd say you'd get around 350 clients on 1gbps
