Hi everyone,
I’m working with a MAG 254 box that originally came with firmware version 0.2.18-r24 (non-public). It had issues booting the OS and refused USB firmware updates (FAT32, 128MB stick). I managed to flash new firmware versions (0.2.18-r22, r23 public, r24 public) successfully using the multicast method.
The problem is, RootFS version never changes — it's always stuck on r24. I suspect this is also why SSH access fails?
Please, could anyone share how to properly overwrite the RootFS on a MAG254, or how to enable SSH access?
regards
Update:
Thanks in advance to everyone, but I just wanted to let you know that I solved the problem by creating a new image file, and after writing it, SSH access started working.
Best regards!
