i was wondering if i was to buy a nvidia shield.
i have a smart tv, and im using iptv smarters, and xstream player
should i get an nvidia shield, or would that be a waste of money
i mean it works fine

Good question bud - but it totally depends on what you'll use your Nvidia shield for, if its just for IPTV then you might want to reconsider......however with the processing power of the shield, your HD / UHD channels are likely to run much smoother as compared to the tv apps - talking from personal experience!!!!

Plus with TV app's.....normally after 4 to 5 years the TV manufacturer stops supporting them on the "old" tv model you'll have, which means you'll have to buy either a new TV , google chrome cast or an nvidia shield to carry on using all the apps you used to use on your tv.

Bottom line - owning an nvidia shield is not a waste of money....its a powerful little box that can do ALOT of stuff which rival boxes out there can't match.....mainly due to the awesome processing power of the chipset in the nvidia shield.

Like the man said above, depends on your purpose. If you’re just looking to use some other device, get yourself a MiBox, TiVo 4K, or new model Chromecast. They are all $50-ish and run very well.

I agree totally. I have smart TV's but I stick to my Nvidia Shield, Mi Box, or even firestick 4k. So much you can do with those devices compared to smart tv's

That’s debatable. I can name plenty others that are better but one thing that must always be remembered is that what may be best for one might not be best for another. This applies to purposes and people equally.

I suggest for you to buy mi box 4K s Global version it’s same software for nvidia shield
Mi box only less ram 2 GB 8 GB STORAGE
but to you use as streaming for any iptv providers it’s working perfect
I have it for 2 years no issues
Netflix also there prime videos etc
Price it’s less
Like 60 USD OR 70 USD
NVIDIA SHIELD ITS 200 Usd

I use the mi box s in my living and I can honestly say I have no issues also
