how to protect my server with Xtream-UI Installed Version 22F from mac scanning .. like OpenBullet or other tools ...

Use Disallow 2nd IP Connection, Isp Lock, MAG Security, Allow STB Password Change and MAG STB Lock, that cant prevent scanners, but will make his work needless. Also told on all your customers who use stb emu to change his mac addresses from 00:1A:79:... to something else and activated Send Device ID.

Use fail2ban to ban with 2 wrong attempts.
Running like 100k mac or 200k from brute force it will require 200.000proxies. It will get very annoying for scanner. To run such big attack on your server.

Scanners can scan mac by mac in interval of X minutes, they no need to do work quickly, when is done, But f2b probably will ban customers with expired lines.

at the moment they scan hundreds per second. Can you imagine scan 1 check every 1h x 200.000? = 8.334 days/1.190 weeks. 22 years.

Yeah ban Ip for 1h will be more than enough .

Unless you get 200.000 or 100.000 proxies IP. Unless you a pro and have access to such bot network. It will stop 99.9% mac hacks. But. You must set max try 1. 1 failure = 1h ban. Easy
