I keep getting this error when trying to set the port to 80 does anyone know how to fix this please?

nginx: [emerg] bind() to 0.0.0.0:80 failed (98: address already in use)
nginx: [emerg] still could not bind()

Hi

please check which ports are active with the following command:

then you can change to the desidered port by changing the file nginx.conf.

after this you have to restart the process with the following command:

or else system restart

Thank you!!

I managed to fix it by using

sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 stop

Then FTP to apache2 folder and changing to the config port to 81

Re ran the command and it worked

the solution its in the Error:
nginx: [emerg] bind() to 0.0.0.0:80 failed (98: address already in use)

a port can only be used for one software and if you want to use the port for another you have to change the port of the software that uses the port in the settings, as you did
