I know there was a vote on this a while back, did we ever come to a decision about a developers section/thread to get added here? If not, I still think its a good idea/suggestion.

doing development work as a volunteer is a difficult task and majority of people are not interested in it.
our admins tried to get votes in past as you mentioned but you might have also seen that how many people voted for that.
so I think it's still a dream to be come true later
