Question App + panel question

Boy am I embarrassed to ask this, but I just gotta!
My apologies if this has been explained before.

I see lots of resources for Android apps that also include "panels".

As someone whos currently paying for a legit version of tivimate, this made me wonder what the "panel" aspect these packages are.

Are the panels just a way of remotely managing clients using the included apk?

Again, I apologize if this is a dumb question. I just wasn't sure what these "panels" actually are or do.

They just tie and hide your dns. You enter whatever dns you have into the panel and it'll update on the app. People will just need to use a username and password.

Panels are used for ease of management such as maintenance mode, changing dns, announcements and other various things.

I have smarters v4 with a panel linked to it, so I have a custom apk, which if I am doing any updates I shut it down and put it on the screen for the users of mine to see what's going on.

Panels with APKs. These are modded APKs so that you can rebrand with your service name. Logos, etc. The panel is used to control your DNS and sometimes other options for the APK. Example: Tivimate with panel can change name and logo of service, whole the panel can hide your DNS of service so customers don't have access to your DNS (URL of service)

Regarding the panel, you can control the entire application content, not just the DNS.

I'm a programmer with a panel like iBO+APK where you can control MAC addresses and device keys. You can also add resellers, add balances, track transactions, and much more.

Not all panels are built the same. But IBO is a good example of the types of stuff you can do with certain panels

Thanks for all the amazing info guys. I'm going to give a few of these panels a go.

I have a few vps's sitting idle right now so can't hurt to learn something new.

I assume the resources on here will cover most of the requirements such as PHP and MySQL?

Are there any panels that support multiple apks or are they generally matched together?

Any dockers for cheating? Haha!

Look up cockpit panel. One of the best panels for multiple apks

Update: Thanks to all the great responses here, I was able to get a panel for tivimate up and running. I see I can add a DNS but that's just about it. It has an option for DNS/User That's still badass regardless ;
Not sure what the "User" option does though.

I'll try out a few more panels and see what's up!

Yes, you can also modify other apps like Tivimate, Purple Smarters, and XcipTV. As for the ibo design, it's beautiful. that it

I installed the Ibo panel and apk and everything works, but outside of some dns, tmdb, and sports epg options I don't see any other functionality on the panel.

Perhaps some versions/releases have different features than others?

I also find that my dns is still exposed to the end user in app (it loads automatically based on what the panel has, but it doesn't hide it in app which would be nice)

Thanks for this info I ended up giving IBO a go but honestly, my panel doesn't show many features. Perhaps I have a diff panel than you do?
I was able to get Tivimate going as well, but I'd like to get a good panel/app that works for my mobile
