Advice needed with smarters designing

Hi all,

Ive seen so many brilliant designs on here and hoping my questions may bring simple answers!

Im trying to get the background tiles for the icons removed so on the home screen you can see just the background and icons (not the coloured squares blocking half the background)

Also could anybody answer which logo description is which? Ideally id like a different image for the logo on the initial boot screen, login screen and the top left on home screen.

for the icons simply replace the images with that of blank transparent background images

as for logos you could find out what asset is being called by opening the screens files in an apk editor or you could edit them one by one and see what is changed

one thing i would say tho make sure your background images is not to busy or filled with millions of things and color it just looks messy things should be kept simpe and clean

Yes i'm planning to keep the background simple and clean. Its more of a one off experiment and also a learning session ?

perfect best way to learn is to try and make mistakes then learn from them i hope it works good remember to post back an image if you get it done a invested in the outcome now haha

Set a clear background in your picture editing app at the same resolution and save as transparent. Then you have a clear logo.

II'd love to know how to do this with the settings menu. I've managed to change the colour but not removal.

Cheers Rob, had a play last night, was a quick ”fire it in attempt” just to see how it would work and look. pleased with the transparent icon backgrounds, thinking the icons and wording would look better in a different colour than white. Not a finished product or one ill even use, but a perfect template to have a play around with and learn. Image from a memorable football occasion ??
