Hi all,

I have a HDMI encoder that Im doing streaming direct without transcoding via Xtreamui. Tho when using Direct Streaming, XtreamUI only links to the playlist made by the encoder, and I therefor must have the firewall open to the encoder. Is this possible to hide or do another way, so I dont need to open up the firewall for the encoder?

Helps or suggestions are highly apreciated!

why would you want to direct people to the encoder feed in the first place. seems a little silly to allow any access to the encoders.

I know, that what I dont wont. This is just for private use, for friends 2-3 users. I want to do direct streaming and hide the encoder feed if possible, so I dont need any transcoding.

use hls-proxy

or iptv proxy... githubs your friend.

maybe set it up on a rasp pi. ;)

If your HDMI encoder has RTMP Push then you can send stream direct from encoder to Xtream-UI.

Thanks for the tips. I will check out!

Thanks. It does support RTMP Push. Do you have a little how to set it up? Or any documation about it?

allow the external ip of the encoder (routers isp ip) in XCUI (rtmp ip's) then in the encoders set up page set push location as http://ipofxcui:port/live/chnlname.. and magically it will appear in the XC you then need to add this stream to a,live link.

1. You need to know your public ip address (if you dont have static ip address download NoIP Software for windows)
2. Add your IP to Xtream UI: Settings -> RTMP Ips. (IP address: your ip or NoIP DNS)
3. Now to PUSH Streams from your Encoder to Xtream UI enter IP of XTUI and PORT. (example from encoder in pic)

4.Then you can access your stream at rtmp://xtream-ui.com:25462/live/channelname
