since transmission network with (wavelength division multiplexing) have achieved upto 20Tbps of data rate through one pair of fiber (there is hundred of them in a transmission opticsl cable which connects big ISP ies) data transmission becomes cheap and cheaper on the other hand access network nowaday somewhere on this planet can provide 40Gbps for at most 128 clients and there is hundred of IsP ies who are now working on deploying 10Gbps access network and ordinary GPON with 2.488Gbps becomes so fimmilar in most contries , WISP ies are in the battle too now they work on deploying 5G or 4G LTE , all of these technology makes internet faster and cheaper regarding price of data (bit/second/money) , so the first requirement of IPTV (unlimited and fast connection) is becoming more affordable in next decade for sure , therefor IPTV users expected to be explode and going to be first and most reliable broadcasting method

In a round about way he is saying that data speeds rowards homes will be increasing because the infrastructure behind it has developed as such to allow increased speeds ... that means that IPTV or streaming in general will become even more popular

just a briefing you about future of IPTV and data communication
i remember two years ago i was thinking that IPTV is not providing good quality as satellite or DVB-T but after i learned about bandwidth and FTTH solutions i realized that 4K and 8K streaming is ten times easier through IPTV rather than other broadcasting methods
