Look in that case I apologise if you look in the comments I have given a full break down and @pcpaul has updated his I have also posted the .json file which is to be hosted on the server you can call it anything just ensure when editing the apk you point it at the relevant Json file on the server, I hope this helps

hmm, no idea then crashes on my Nvidia Sheild and also a bog standard android tablet.

what tool do you recomend to edit the apk? I have been using apk easy tool
