Question Are Load Balancers Necessary?

Hi all,

Managed to get started with XUI One today and am learning a-lot about it. I am using it to restream to a few family members and curate everything myself. If I am only using 5-10 connections total, are LB’s necessary?

we'll be necessary after checking many things

CPU usage: htop
RAM usage: free -g
internet usage: nload ( tab until you select the current used network interface )

if you have 1 gbit unshared guranteed in the main server for 10 connection ( possible 5 mpbs bitrate max for each connection ) mean 10 x 5 mpbs = 50 mbps we can even say 100mbps
anyway, the panel can show you those things

just check others things on peak time

Thank you! I have 400mbps upload and 1gbps download on this server so I think I will have more than enough headroom network-wise. Just have to keep testing

it depends from how many streams you need put on server. do you use ondemand mod, etc... client side is not problem, you can go easy up to 40-50 connection with 400 mb upload..

Well right now it would be 5-10 connections just restreaming for my family, no selling. I have setup the streams as on demand either v2 for the ones that dont support v3, and v3 for ones that do. I am just doing this from an ubuntu vm with 16gb ram and 6 cores assigned, which I think will be enough. Once I get through securing stuff and setting up my security I can test with external networks.
