Question Unique Connection limit for Live TV/Series/Movies

Hey guys,

I have noticed xtream ui isn't well versed when it comes to limiting the connections for the users. For instance, you don't have any sort of control for direct source VOD's, a user can basically watch 10 direct source Series/Movies at the same time from the same user account without xtream ui restricting anything.

Furthermore, if you limit the user connection to for example 1 conn, they can still watch 1 local VOD + 1 watch live stream, so the 1 connection isn't exactly 1.

How are you going dealing with this? Do you just allow it or do you setup any sort of restriction?

Pretty sure that’s limited to HLS only for streams and there’s no such thing as restreaming VoD.

I try to tell you guys to avoid misconceptions about it but you don’t listen!!!

I have never talked about restreaming VOD. What is this term you are speaking of?

You load VoD from some other source into your panel as direct source! People think that is “restreaming” which it is not! If you wish to prevent abuse then avoid direct source completely. Direct source means exactly that -> the user connects directly to the source!

Ahh, I see. The problem with this is you can't rely on local VOD if you have more than >50TB on VOD content.

Just be a reseller for someone else or start small and add servers as you grow.

I have been re-checking this again today and I found even when using local VOD (No direct source) I can still watch a local VOD + 1 live channel at the same time, despite max connections being set at 1.

Any ideas?
