Why we need likes?

I thought this was a help forum! Why are there forums that want to make money from their users?

I understand that, my friend, but sometimes people are starting out and not having much to share.

For me the forums should be for everyone to exchange information, but often some users can just read it! Not everyone can teach something!

You really shouldn't be liking your own posts using a similar name as yourself .. you will get banned

This forum is here exactly for that however the LIKE system is in place for 2 specific reasons:

1. To hide from public view and prevent non-members from leeching.
2. To stimulate an active community. It is give and take. Generally those who have been here for some time with low likes are prime examples of those who do not give.

No one is forced to be a member here and we WANT you to participate. There is a VIP option for those who would rather pay than play, and for those who don't want to do either, I will be happy to introduce you to my hammer. This topic is not up for discussion.
