Depends on what type of iptv setup you want to have

A good place to start for a beginners and a fully functioning panel albeit with some security flaws would be xtream-ui

dude you're joking right? you wiped your macbook and installed ubuntu and you want to run an iptv server on it. there is so much wrong with this statement that i am at awe!

It’s an old 2012 MacBook that was lying in a cupboard doing nothing. So no big loss
