New smarters and xciptv has a build in option to use VPN. Can someone guide us here where can we find VPN service that works on smarters and xciptv .

I believe its open vpn, haven't yet had chance to try it

I have Express Vpn and when I am out of the country I had constant trouble streaming Netflix using Safari.I switched to firefox to watch Netflix and have had no problem. In my case I read this article vpnbestreview.com/best-vpn-for-norway/

Not tried smarters, but I was able to connect to a VPN from within XCUI and LTQ. Both of those apps require the .ovpn config file so you need to have access to the apps panel and then you also need to upload the client config file so that you can enter the url of the config file within the apps panel. These are the steps I took to get connectivity from within the apks:
  1. Knock up a dedicated server for installing the VPN server software onto
  2. Run the road warrior script on github for openVPN server. This will quickly ensure your new dedicated server is running as an openVPN server and it will provide you with a client config .ovpn file
  3. Upload the .ovpn config file onto an http file server
  4. Go into panel of APK and enter the url of the .ovpn config file from the file server that you uploaded
  5. Open up APK and then select connect to VPN then it will connect and Robert's your Mother's Brother.
However, while I was able to connect to the VPN server successfully from within the APK, the performance of the VPN was a lot worse when I connected from within the app than when I connected from outside the app using an open vpn client application first.

Hope that helps you.

im pretty sure you mean XCIPTV not XCUI as an app but other than that.... bravo for figuring it out and summarizing the details. i applaud you.

Smarters requires the ovpn file along with the vpn suppliers cert file to be put into a zip file with the .zip extension for it to work. once zipped you need to either upload it to your server or cloud hosting service and select url then put the link to your zip in the text box or upload it locally to the device and select the zip from the devices storage.

Yeah I meant XCIPTV, it's been a long day and my head is pickled ha!

Good news also, I took another look at this again tonight and this time I found the speeds are much better when I wasn't connecting to the VPN server on an app running through an emulator.

I can't recall if it was Bluestacks or Genymotion I used last time, but it was definitely on an Android emulator running on my desktop PC rather than a set top box with native Android. I quickly tried it in the bedroom on a Firestick and I found there was minimal loss of speed when using the VPN to when not using it and I dare say if I was to test it on something running with native Android and half decent specs rather than a shitty firestick and it could be better again. Cloudflare and Nginx are holding up okay so far but a personal VPN integrated into client IPTV apps offers some additional improved robustness so I'll definitely dig into this again at some point.

Lmao ? dude!!!!!! You tried to use a virtual interface both encapsulated and not encapsulated within an app on a virtual device. That’s the problem!!!! Hey, live and learn and now you’ve figured out what not to do. Don’t use blue stacks or any of that mess.
