im pretty sure you mean XCIPTV not XCUI as an app but other than that.... bravo for figuring it out and summarizing the details. i applaud you.Not tried smarters, but I was able to connect to a VPN from within XCUI and LTQ. Both of those apps require the .ovpn config file so you need to have access to the apps panel and then you also need to upload the client config file so that you can enter the url of the config file within the apps panel. These are the steps I took to get connectivity from within the apks:
However, while I was able to connect to the VPN server successfully from within the APK, the performance of the VPN was a lot worse when I connected from within the app than when I connected from outside the app using an open vpn client application first.
- Knock up a dedicated server for installing the VPN server software onto
- Run the road warrior script on github for openVPN server. This will quickly ensure your new dedicated server is running as an openVPN server and it will provide you with a client config .ovpn file
- Upload the .ovpn config file onto an http file server
- Go into panel of APK and enter the url of the .ovpn config file from the file server that you uploaded
- Open up APK and then select connect to VPN then it will connect and Robert's your Mother's Brother.
Hope that helps you.

Lmao ? dude!!!!!! You tried to use a virtual interface both encapsulated and not encapsulated within an app on a virtual device. That’s the problem!!!! Hey, live and learn and now you’ve figured out what not to do. Don’t use blue stacks or any of that mess.Yeah I meant XCIPTV, it's been a long day and my head is pickled ha!
Good news also, I took another look at this again tonight and this time I found the speeds are much better when I wasn't connecting to the VPN server on an app running through an emulator.
I can't recall if it was Bluestacks or Genymotion I used last time, but it was definitely on an Android emulator running on my desktop PC rather than a set top box with native Android. I quickly tried it in the bedroom on a Firestick and I found there was minimal loss of speed when using the VPN to when not using it and I dare say if I was to test it on something running with native Android and half decent specs rather than a shitty firestick and it could be better again. Cloudflare and Nginx are holding up okay so far but a personal VPN integrated into client IPTV apps offers some additional improved robustness so I'll definitely dig into this again at some point.
