I'm sorry but what are you using to edit the apk files?

If using windows also download atom editor and add the extracted apk as a project and performance a find in project search and you will be shown all locations to edit.

I am using apkstudio and windows will give it a go with atom editor.

I am really new to all this so my apologies as I am normally quick at picking it all up.
