There are various other apps like netiptv and nanomid.

I so not recommend using smart tv's as I've personally seen buffering and glitching on the TV when the channels work perfectly on android devices.

This is still true and can actually occur, but it also depends a lot on the app in use, or if limited TVs ...
Apps that don't use a full load on the TV's memory usually don't have such a problem.

Try duplex iptv is a lot better than this app
