NGINX + RTMP Installation Script

This will install NGINX + RTMP on your system.

Follow the steps below and you will be good to go.

Copy and Paste into a text editor.

apt-get update -qq
apt-get -y install libpcre3 libpcre3-dev libssl-dev php-fpm

# make folders
mkdir -p /opt/nginx/
mkdir -p /opt/nginx/nginx-mpegts
cd /opt/nginx/

# download / extract nginxnginx
wget http://nginx.org/download/nginx-1.15.8.tar.gz
tar -zxvf nginx-1.15.8.tar.gz

# download / extract nginx rtmp addon
wget https://github.com/sergey-dryabzhinsky/nginx-rtmp-module/archive/dev.zip
unzip dev.zip

# download nginx mpegts addon
cd nginx-mpegts
git clone https://github.com/arut/nginx-ts-module.git .
cd ../

cd nginx-1.15.8

./configure --with-http_ssl_module --add-module=../nginx-rtmp-module-dev --add-module=/opt/nginx/nginx-mpegts
make
make install

mkdir -p /var/media/
mkdir -p /var/log/nginx/
touch /var/log/nginx/error.log

touch /usr/local/nginx/logs/nginx.pid

sed -i 's/\/run\/php\/php7.2-fpm.sock/127.0.0.1:9000/' /etc/php/7.2/fpm/pool.d/www.conf
systemctl restart php7.2-fpm.service

Save and exit and run the file in the following way.

sh file.sh

Make sure your run this as root.

This has only been testing on Ubuntu 18

Should in 'theory' work on 14 though but you should not be using 14, its old and reached its End of Life.

Hi, when i have added this ffmpeg order in ubuntu, the broadcast start succefully.

input : iptv (.ts - m3u8)
output : rtmp:// (youtube-...)

root@ssdz:~# exec ffmpeg -i http://**iptv**.ts -threads 1 -c:v libx264 -profile:v baseline -b:v 1200K$ 1200K -s 720x576 -f flv -c:a aac -ac 1 -strict -2 -b:a 128k rtmp://output;

and when i add this order ffmpeg in nginx and i restart nginx .
the broadcast don't start .

rtmp { server { listen 1935; chunk_size 4096; application live { live on; record off; allow publish 127.0.0.1; allow publish 138.201.145.138; deny publish all; exec ffmpeg -i http://**iptv**.ts -threads 1 -c:v libx264 -profile:v baseline -b:v 1200K$ 1200K -s 720x576 -f flv -c:a aac -ac 1 -strict -2 -b:a 128k rtmp://output; } application live720p { live on; record off; allow publish 127.0.0.1; allow publish 138.201.145.138; } } }
