Mag boxes spyware?

Hey guys anybody hear of a spyware that is installed on mag device to detect pirated portals?one of my friends is stopping his mag support cause he herd that some service got caught cause of the update from infomir?

i hear lots of services will spot mag support only M3u..

supposedly google is in it also?

This happened to me a few years back when infomir blocked my /c/ portal at the request of BSkyB

well known that they block , dont know if they hand over anyting though

It happened with one of companies here providing service
their 500 boxes got banned and Infomir refused to unban them.

Had it with vod in the past but not live firmware flash sorted it out

Permanent Fix For MAG Boxes

format a usb drive to fat32

download the file for your box from the corresponding link below

To view the content, you need to Sign In or Register.

unzip the file and copy the folder inside to your usb stick

the 1st thing we need to do is dissable automatic updates
you can do this by opening the inner portal from the settings screen
then go to settings > software autoupdate make sure this is dissabled

switch of power to the box & plug in the usb to the rearmost port
press & hold the menu button (3 lines)on the remote power on the box keeping menu pressed
untill you see the recovery utility screen loaded

now go to upgrade tools > upgrade software > using usb > yes
now just sit & wait a few min for it to complete the box will reboot within a few min
all vod/series will now work
