Hello everyone! 👋

I wanted to share a couple of useful scripts I’ve been working on for all the XtreamUI users here who want to stay on top of the latest NGINX stable updates. These scripts will help you update NGINX to the latest stable version for XtreamUI with ease, all while keeping your setup efficient and optimized!

What’s Included?

  1. nginx_rtmp_compile.sh
This script will automatically compile the latest stable version of NGINX with the RTMP module. It's super simple and ensures you’re running the most recent NGINX release that’s compatible with XtreamUI.
  2. nginx_xtreamUI_update.sh
If you’re already running XtreamUI, this script will keep your installation up-to-date with minimal effort. It integrates the NGINX update into XtreamUI seamlessly, so you can focus on your streaming without worrying about your server setup.
Here are the details:
  • NGINX version: 1.26.3
  • OpenSSL version: 3.4.1
  • PCRE2 version: 10.45
  • Zlib version: 1.3.1
  • NGINX-RTMP module: Latest Git version

Key Features:

  • Easy to use: These scripts are designed for users who may not be experienced with compiling software from scratch. The setup is straightforward, with minimal steps involved.
  • Stable NGINX: Always run the latest stable version, which means better performance, security, and features.
  • Seamless XtreamUI Integration: Ensure that your NGINX and XtreamUI work harmoniously together.

Tested on Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS

I’ve tested these scripts on Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS, so you can rest assured they’re working well on the latest version of Ubuntu. I used the XtreamUI installation from this GitHub repository for setup, which should work smoothly with the scripts provided.

How to Use:

  1. Download the scripts from the zip archive below:
    • nginx.zip
  2. Run the scripts and let them do the magic! ✨
I hope these scripts help you streamline your server management and improve the streaming experience. If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to reply to this post, and I’ll be happy to help!

Thanks and happy streaming! 🚀
