Question Does XUIONE Proxy Server feature work for you ?

Hi Guys,

i just try to run UIONE Proxy feature. I install on a VPS a Proxy. I activate SSL and add a DynDNS as domain on the Proxy.
I try port 80 for http and port 443 for https, after i don't get successfully run the streams on VLC I just reinstall the Proxy with the same ports like in the Main server (http > 8000 and https > 9000)






The installation was fine. I get also the Playlist, but the i am not able to get run the test stream from the main server.


For example the Channel "ZDF" I get channe offline message although the channel is up and running.


If I disable the Proxy for the Main Server, the channels are running fine.



I would be interested to know if any of you have successfully installed the proxy feature and are using it without issues ?

I was able to make it work, used ubuntu 20 on proxy. After proxy install i rebooted main, lbs and proxy. Everything was working smoothly. Like someone said i am not proxying main. Just LB

It doesnt work mate, only lb's - probably a bug. Hope the source code gets released then somebody can fix stuff properely

so is there any outher way to secure the main server with a outside proxy ? so it can be used with internal proxys for lbs ?

So you may can provide us more detailed step by step tutorial.

I'm without access to a computer right now, I'm typing this from a phone. So I'm making it short and the formatting may be terrible.

1. Install proxy on a ubuntu 20 vps from xui proxy tab and select the LBs and main which should be proxified.
2. Adjust the firewall on main and all LB to give access to the proxy.
3. Save the persistent firewall rules.
4. Make sure you use a domain name for the proxy once installed. (Not sure why, this is what i did)
5. You can use ssl if you need on the proxy.
6. Enable proxy on the servers tab (see attached picture)
7. Reboot main, lbs and proxy.

This is what i did to make it work, i am currently using 4 lbs and 3 proxies

I added all proxy and LBs to UFW and persistent firewalls white list. (Personally speaking the firewall is causing me issues with LB and proxy connections, after reboots).

This is what i did with firewall

Everyone knows ufw, but for persistent firewall i used this code from a website i found from google.

Debian and Ubuntu Linux user type:
$ sudo /sbin/iptables-save > /etc/iptables/rules.v4
## IPv6 ##
$ sudo /sbin/ip6tables-save > /etc/iptables/rules.v6

I was on vacation for last few weeks, sorry for the delay.

Your setup doesn't make sense. Why a proxy for LB? Buddy, what should be in the proxy. It doesn't. Everything bad!
