Disable VOD Apk auto updates

Good day,
I am looking at cloning vod apk such CinemaHD or UnLockMYTTV. But, I would like to know where / how could I disable auto updates? I've looked in the smali folders and even done a "http;//" search with no result - unless I've missed something.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I think the easiest way is to disabling iauto updates n google play, aptiode, etc.

Everyone knows I despise ??'s!! If the app isn't in the Amazon AppStore, then there is no way to update. ?

LOL. Devs are able to push in-app updates. I would like to disable that ability.

Have you tried to change the version number to one that will or have not ever been released? The updates will be pushed to all apps under X version number, if you change X version number to Y then X version will not get updated
