configure vpn

Hi, can anyone help me in configuring my vpn with the app.
Im using surfshark vpn services I also have a nordvpn account.

Ive downloaded the ovpn file for a server and uploaded it to the app. Ive put in my username and password, but when I try to connect the app shows that it is attempting to connect but the never actually connects.
The ovpn file was from the surfshark website and the username and password are correct.
Has anyone got this to work?

did you use the username and password from the bottom of the manual connection page on surfshark?
