For performance reasons, standard logging data is often purged. To solve this, we created the Statistics Plugin, allowing you to maintain deep historical records and usage graphics by offloading data to a dedicated Elasticsearch server.
Fully Functional & Growing
It is important to note that while we have labelled the plugin as Work In Progress, it is fully functional right now. You can begin archiving and viewing data immediately.
Setup & Installation
After installing the plugin, navigate to Settings -> Statistics.- Dedicated Server Required: Click "Install On Selected Server" to deploy Elasticsearch.
CRITICAL: Never install this on your Main Server or an existing Load Balancer (LB).- The Reason: The Nginx version required for the stats server differs from the streaming nodes and will cause configuration conflicts.
- Requirement: Use a new, clean server running Ubuntu 20 or 22.
- Connect the Host: Enter the new server's IP address into the ELK Host field.
- Initialise: Click "Run Init Command" to complete the handshake.
Features Available Now
Once installed, you can access comprehensive data via the following menus:Statistics Dashboard
- Statistics -> Top 20 Streams (by Time Watched and by Viewers)
- Statistics -> Top 20 VOD
Advanced Archive Logs
These logs are stored in your Elasticsearch instance for long-term historical access. Find these new menus:- Logs -> Security Archive Log
- Logs -> Line Activity Archive Log
- Logs -> Audit Archive Log
- Logs -> Stream Stat Archive Log
It is important to note that while we have labelled the plugin as Work In Progress, it is fully functional right now. You can begin archiving and viewing data immediately.
