It has an integration that makes it possible to view and remote control the device from your PC (additional free scrcpy addon software required).
It allows you to manage the device remotely through the Internet with router port forwarding.
But even better this it also has an integration that makes this posible without any router port forwarding at all.
In a secure tunnel, similar to TeamViewer etc (additional free ngrok addon software and account required).
It was designed for the Firestick 4K but works with most other Android devices with no or very little modifcation.
Some devices may need a simple modifcation for remote access without using port forwarding.
View and remote control requires a minimum Android version 5.
Instructions to install:
Method 1.
This method *requires* ADB to already be installed on your PC.
Download the ADB GUI file from this resource page.
Unzip the exe from the downloaded ADB GUI zip file to a folder on your PC.
Method 2.
This method does *not* require ADB to be installed on your PC.
This method is needed if wanted to use the remote control feature.
Google for "scrcpy releases".
The top result should take you to the scrcpy releases page on github.
Download the zip file for Windows 64-bit (scrcpy-win64-v1.17.zip).
Unzip the contents to a folder on your PC (I use c:\scrcpy).
Download the ADB GUI file from this resource page.
Unzip the exe from the downloaded ADB GUI zip file to the folder you created above (e.g. c:\scrcpy).
